This morning I was invited on board the 97m 2002 built Luerssen. Originally she was designed by Tim Heywood. She jest underwent a major refit of 300 days after changing ownership last year just ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show. Carinthia VII means a lot to me she is by far my favorite Luerssen ever built. Whenever I saw her at sea I always remained enchanted by her beauty.

Luerssen is famous for it’s very high quality when building yachts and there fore the refit was even more complex. For example I was impressed that the teak on board is still the original 20 years old teak and it looked new.

A lot was done on the technical side, for example her exteriors where freshly repainted, her 4 MTU engine which allow her a top speed of 25 kn where fully upgraded, she received new stabilizers etc etc

The yacht has now a new impressive 11m pool, an incredible gym on the bridge deck where guest will be inspired when training by the amazing view outside and a marvelous SPA area. I will not comment about the cabins and the other common area but let me say that it’s not only a matter of style and elegance but what you will really appreciate in Carinthia is that you can feel you are on board something very special.

During my visit today I met Peter Luerssen (ceo of Luerssen) and Tim Heywood whiche where incredibly friendly in explaining to me the complexity of this refit which was carefully followed by RYACHT as owner representative. The exterior and interior transformation was headed by Bizzozero Cassina Architechts.

Carinthia VII will be available for charter trough Fraser Luerssen was founded in 1875 and is a privately owned company.
