July Yacht Sales Overview: Prominent Deals Highlight a Dynamic Market
July has been a notable month in the luxury yacht market, marked by several significant sales that have caught the attention of industry insiders. Among the most remarkable transactions is the sale of Prometej, a 44.5-meter superyacht originally built in 1959 by Santierul Naval Galați. This yacht, refitted a few years ago by the renowned designer Ferretti, boasts a storied history. After its transformation, Ferretti sold Prometej to a prominent industrialist who has now decided to pass it on to a new owner. The yacht was sold for an impressive €5.9 million, handled by Fraser Yachts, with Ocean Independence representing the buyer.
Another sale worthy of note is the Numarine Rockit, a sleek 37.11-meter navetta launched in 2023. This modern vessel was sold for a staggering $17.75 million, with Galati Yacht Sales brokering the deal, and Denison Yachting representing the buyer. The high price underscores the growing demand for newer, state-of-the-art yachts in the market.
Additionally, the Westport Hospitality, a 49.94-meter superyacht built in 2011, fetched a remarkable $29.75 million. This sale, managed entirely by IYC, highlights the enduring appeal of Westport’s craftsmanship and the strong demand for well-maintained, larger yachts.
